The13 Fold?

===== ====

The purpose here is to show you why meticulous attention is paid to folding the American flag 13 times, exactly what each fold means, for Memorial Day 2009 is staring us in the face. If you have seen the flag folded before, you probably feel that it is impossible, the truth is... it is easy, and May 25, 2009 is flag folding day. However, you never really hear about the meaning of the folds, it is folded for very good reasons that I will reveal.

The American flag 13 times

First fold symbolize life

 Second, our belief in eternal life

Third, in honor and remembrance of the veterans

Fourth, represents our weaker nature.

Fifth, a tribute to our country

Sixth, for where our hearts lie

seventh, a tribute to our Armed Forces.

Eighth, a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death

Ninth, a tribute to womanhood

Tenth, a tribute to the father

Eleventh, in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon

Twelfth fold, in the eyes of a Christian citizen, represents an emblem of eternity, and glorifies.

 On fold thirteen, flag completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding us of our nation's motto, "In God We Trust".

What are you doing for Memorial Day 2009?

Thanks. I always thought the 13 folds were in deference to the 13 original colonies. Have a good holiday!
